The Makita 6226D is a rechargeable battery charger for power tools. The 6226D is built by the Amstron company. Created in 1999, Armstron's U.S. headquarters are located in Santa Clarita Valley, California.

This universal power tool charger charges NiMH and NICD, 7.2 and 18 volt batteries. The Makita 6226D can charge NiMH battery packs in approximately 2 hours and NICD in about 1 hour.

It also has 3 stages of charging that occur automatically and an auto-light that displays when charging is complete.
